The website of the Hospital Service does not collect cookies. However, personal information is processed when you sign up to receive newsletters and write to us through the complaints and compliments box (Rís og Rós). Read more about this below.

Newsletters

The Hospital Service sends newsletters to those who sign up for it. For the Hospital Service to send you newsletters, it is necessary to register your email address. The email address will not be used for anything other than sending you newsletters.

When you sign up to receive newsletters from the Hospital Service, you simultaneously agree that the Hospital Service can process personal information about you. Your email address is stored with Brevo, which provides the system for sending newsletters. Brevo is a sub-data processor for Sansir, which is a data processor for the Hospital Service. Your email address will not be shared with others.

You can unsubscribe from receiving newsletters by clicking on the link "Unsubscribe here" at the bottom of the email with the information or by contacting the Hospital Service. When you unsubscribe, your email address will be deleted.

The authority of the Hospital Service to process personal information about you in connection with newsletters is done in accordance with § 8, section 1, no. 1 of the Data Protection Law. You have the right at any time to withdraw your consent and unsubscribe from receiving newsletters. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the legality of processing that took place before the consent was withdrawn.

Complaints and compliments

When you send the Hospital Service comments through the complaints and compliments box (Rís og Rós), personal information such as your name, phone number, and email address is collected.

The authority of the Hospital Service to process personal information about you in connection with complaints and compliments is done in accordance with § 8, section 1, no. 1 of the Data Protection Law. You have the right at any time to withdraw your consent. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the legality of processing that took place before the consent was withdrawn.
